If you are 100kg+ or are looking for the strongest wheels around then you have found them. Our Big Fella rim brake wheelset. Designed with the heavier rider in mind. For this wheelset, we use a high quality rim and hub and lace them 32 hole 3 cross front and rear for maximum strength. These strong wheels are a respectable 1985 grams for a pair. Supplied with quick releases, rim tape fitted and our true for life warranty. We now offer a Deluxe version too!
Big Fella Rim Spec
The DT Swiss RR511 is a good looking 32mm deep rim at a respectable weight.A high-quality, robust semi-aero road rim with an 18 mm internal width and 22mm outer. This makes the Big Fella ideal for wider road or cyclocross tyres. It’s 32mm deep section rim enhances mud shedding so is perfect for cyclocross use.

Big Fella Hub Spec
Miche Primato hubs are super reliable, great for budget builds, daily commuters and training wheels. These Italian made hubs are an excellent choice for those wanting easy home maintenance. Supplied with Quick Releases, we fill them with 100% synthetic grease which repels water but still allows them to spin reasonably well.
Mechanics appreciate Miche Primato Syntesi road hubs as they have a long life span and can be fully serviced, dismantled with two 5mm allen keys, bearing preload is controlled by a 2mm allen key. Available in black or silver, Campagnolo (9/10/11 speed) or Shimano/Sram (9/10/11 speed) compatible.

Miche Primato Syntesi road hubs are made in Italy with a forged aluminium hub body and AL7075-T6 freehub. 12mm steel axles and 6001/6901 sealed cartridge bearings make them suitable for heavy loads and cyclocross/winter use.
Compatible with Miche’s standard sealed free hub body, so shops and users can quickly replace or change the hub from Campagnolo to Shimano-SRAM 11/10/9 speed. It really only takes 2 minutes and no special tools are required.
Hub adjustment is also easily achieved with Miche’s adjustable hub lock system.
The hubs use the Miche Silent Running freehub that features 30 teeth, uprated hubs paws and spring. When freewheeling, these hubs are super smooth and noise free. The other benefit of this freehub is the noticeable speed of pick up and hub engagement when you start pedalling after freewheeling.
Other Information
Spokes + nipples – We use Sapim Race black spokes which are light and strong plus a silver plated brass plated nipple with a plastic insert.
