A big thank you to the guys at Strada for my Velocity Major Tom cross tubs. I’ve had them a couple of weeks but they had to go in for the tubs, so yesterday saw their first outing at the muddy Wessex League race in Oxford. These are not super expensive wheels compared to many of my competitors, but they felt completely bombproof under my 84kg weight, yet very lively when I needed them to be. The quoted circa 1600 grammes weight seems about right, plenty light enough for cross, a great addition to my armoury!
I’ve been finishing in the top 20 in the Vet 40-49 races, but yesterday posted 10th overall, 8th Vet – no coincidence!
You can’t make them out in this photo, but they’re under there somewhere. Thanks again for great service on a great British built product.
