Strada are proud to be sponsoring Tom Sturdy through 2011 as his race and training wheel supplier.
Tom has built a great reputation in the last couple of seasons as a talented triathlete. He has trained with the GB triathlon team under the guidance of the best GB coaches whilst studying at Loughborough University. He has an Ironman Pro competition licence, finished 17th from 2500 competitors in the Zurich 70.3 Ironman 2010 and won the Tri UK Shropshire Triathlon in June 2010. He has resting heart rate of 35 bpm.
With a first class honours aeronautical engineering degree and having spent his school holidays working in a cycle shop Tom has the technical background and bike experience to be a great wheel tester for Strada. He can provide technical feedback and heavy mileage on our wheels throughout the year both in training and competition. Tom cycles approximately 500km per week as part of his triathlon training routine.
Tom will be posting race reports + photos, reviews and technical advice on wheelsets and kit on the Strada Hand Built Wheels website. He will also be writing a monthly report on his experience of training using a Powertap wheelset.
