The FRM 309XMD Tubular rim is made in Italy, it weighs 309g with an asymmetric profile for more evenly tensioned spokes and eyelets for additional strength. The FRM 309XMD has a 1.3mm thick extruded 6082 alloy rim, an anodised black  finish, the rim joint is sleeved, welded and CNC finished for durability. The rim is 24mm wide and 19.5mm deep and can be run using tubular MTB tyres only. There are significant benefits to running tubular race wheels – faster acceleration, lower pressure (20psi) better grip, reduced weight for faster acceleration, no burping tyres and less rolling resistance. These are ideal for XC races where weight reduction is critical – 1 gram off the wheels is worth 2 grams off the frame!

We can supply this wheelset with any of the following hubs - Strada own label MTB hubs. These are made in Taiwan, are light (245g + 145g), well sealed, quick 24 tooth pickup and come with ceramic hybrid bearings fitted as standard. Or any of these - American Classic, Hope Pro II Evo hubs, Carbon-Ti, Chris King. Any rear can be combined with a Cannondale Lefty front. These are designed for XC race and should not be used for AM or Enduro or Downhill riding, 90kg rider + kit weight limit. We recommend the Tufo XC2 Plus 26×2.00 tubular (450g) and the matching Tufo MTB tape for a quick easy fitting.
