Specification – these are from the same factory and are identical in specification and manufacture to those used throughout the 2010 season by a UCI ProTour team on the Giro, TdF and Vuelta. Built using Toray / Mitsubishi carbon from pre-preg weave, there is a variable modulus from 30 to 60T according to the weight / stiffness requirements in the rim. Weight is minimised through carefully engineered design and accurate construction techniques. Constructed using a latex bladder to give a smooth consistent finish inside and which is subsequently removed to reduce final rim weight. Comfort is optimised with sidewall carbon layup. Each rim depth is aerodynamically tested. There is a reinforced spoke bed and each spoke hole is drilled at a specific angle to eliminate lateral or radial spoke deflection. Braking has been optimised with the supplied rim specific pads. Rim durability is increased with strong spoke / tyre bed allowing a well balanced build for a range spoke tensions. Recessed channel on tubular rim for improved tubular tyre seating. Easy maintenance with external nipples.
