White Industries H3 rear hub – White Industries designed the H3 rear road hub to be lightweight without sacrificing durability. The H3 was engineered specifically for the demands of road riding. Bearing sizing and placement are only a few (of many) details that have been optimized to minimize axle deformation and maximize hub durability to provide years of trouble free service. The White Industries H3 hub shell design combines a high and low flange which allows for a more even and better spoke tension with a hub spaced to 130mm. The hubs design maximises aerodynamic efficiency – always a goal for road riders. The White Industries H3 uses a titanium freehub body in a choice of Shimano or Campagnolo 11 speed configurations. White Industries feel titanium is the best choice for the freewheel application since it is nearly as light as aluminum and has the equivalent strength to many forms of steel and uses three tool steel pawls to engage a hardened 24-point drive ring for solid power transfer. The H3 is particularly suited to larger or stronger riders needing a durable hub. These look beautiful in the high polish finish and have a classic look to them.
